¡Bienvenido! To my blog!

This is my story in and outside of the world of design

I've been fortunate in my life to travel a lot. Recently, I've taken trips to Spain and Japan. While there, I always take a ton of photos! My blog features stories and photos from my travels as well as posts regarding other aspects of my life. My blog is a reflection of my interests and my current state of mind. Oh, and I'll update it with some design projects too, haha! Be sure to check out my portfolio if you get the chance and leave comments on my posts!

SPAIN – Day 11 – Valencia

As we arrive to El Estació del Nord, I realize Valencia is a little bit more relaxed than both Madrid and Barcelona.  The station is busy, don’t get me wrong, but people are not running over one another just transfer from train to train.  So after we got off the train, it was time to [...]

SPAIN – Day 09 – Montserrat

The 9th day of our vacation began with us walking to La Plaça Espanya (that is Catalan for La Plaza España).  From there we bought tickets for Montserrat.  This excursion includes a choice of two ways to reach the actual summit, either a cable car ride up the mountain (lasting 5 minutes) or a longer [...]

SPAIN – Day 08 – El Camp Nou & La Plaça de Cristóbal Colón

Finally, El Camp Nou! But before that, I just had to take some images of some pretty cool graffiti near the station of Tarragona. Ok, so after getting to the stadium, my father and I bought tickets for the tour. The tour began with a short 3D movie featuring a “friendly” game between F.C. Barcelona [...]

SPAIN – Day 07 – La Sagrada Familia

Today was certainly fun, but it started off with a bit of a disappointment. We had decided to visit Camp Nou, home of the Champion’s League Champs, Barcelona F.C. But when we got there, we were told that the tour was closed due to maintenance, so I guess that will have to wait till tomorrow. [...]

SPAIN – Day 06 – Barcelona :: Parc de Montjuïc

Our day began with a flight from Madrid to Barcelona. The flight took about an hour and allowed us to view Barcelona from a great vantage point during our decent to the runway. We were fortunate that we were able to walk from the airport to our hotel; it was about four blocks away. The [...]

SPAIN – Day 05 – Segovia

Heading to Callao Metro Station, we took the metro to Atocha Renfe. As mentioned yesterday, Atocha Renfe is a station for trains (Renfe vs Metro) that are heading out of Madrid or into the capital city. We bought the tickets to Segovia and waited about 20 minutes or so. My father told me that when [...]

SPAIN – Day 04 – Toledo

We started our day by heading to the Metro Station – Puerta del Sol in order to take the subway to Antocha Renfe. Technically, Callao (another station) is closer to our hotel, but instead, we wanted to walk through the streets leading up to the Puerta del Sol. These streets are full of small shops, [...]

SPAIN – Day 03 – A Lighter Day

Today, we woke up earlier, about 8AM, so that we could take a trip to Toledo. We took a train from La Puerta del Sol to la estación de Atocha Renfe. Atocha is a hub for railways that are leaving Madrid, versus the other stations that connect the many Metro Lines that travel within Madrid [...]

SPAIN – Day 02 – A day that almost didn’t…

So our second day in Madrid sure started off with a surprise! I suppose it was the jet lag that got us, considering it was the first time we got some good sleep since leaving Charlotte the day before. Either way, I wake up, my father asks me what time it is and I say [...]

SPAIN – Day 01b – Madrid, a Food Lover’s Paradise

So, once we dropped off our things in the hotel room and it was off to our first site to visit, La Plaza Mayor. From La Gran Via, which is where our hotel is located, it is about a 15 minute walk or so to La Plaza Mayor. La Plaza Mayor is a square that [...]
